Set up an agent
Connect an inbox to its own instructions and forwarding workflow.
Create and verify the agent
Create the agent with the address of the inbox it represents. Sendvisor emails that inbox first so you can confirm that you control it. Once verified, the Identity screen shows a unique forwarding address for that agent.
Configure the original inbox to forward incoming mail to that address. If your provider verifies new forwarding destinations, temporarily enable Relay-only mode. Sendvisor will relay the confirmation to your registered account address so you can approve it.
Choose an operating mode
- Active processes incoming customer mail as an agent conversation and can draft, review, or send a reply.
- Relay only forwards incoming mail to your account address without creating a conversation or running the drafting workflow.
Change modes using Use relay-only forwarding mode on the agent's Behaviour screen. The agent list shows Pending, Active, or Relay only.
Write useful instructions
- Background should contain durable facts: products, customer types, policies, inbox tone, opening times, and common situations.
- Goal should describe the outcome most replies should move toward.
- Do not should list hard boundaries such as promises, claims, topics, and escalation rules.
Setup checklist
- Create an agent for the customer-facing mailbox.
- Open its verification email and verify the address.
- Copy the unique address from the Identity screen.
- Configure forwarding, using Relay-only mode while approving a provider confirmation if required.
- Choose Active or Relay-only mode and save Behaviour.
- Send a customer-style test email to the original inbox and confirm it follows the expected route.
- Review the first result and adjust the background, goal, restrictions, tone, or confidence threshold.
